In the 1930's, the Nazi party developed Nuremberg as party central. A huge facility was built to host gatherings, and plans were made to build a stadium seating up to 400,000 people. The museum at the documentation center does a great job of explaining the rise and fall of Nazism. For the first time we actually had to chase kids out of a museum.

Nuremberg is also a lovely town, rebuilt after WWII. The artist Albrecht Durer lived here, and CCHS has an exchange program with a gymnasium here.
